Sidenote: I believe every athlete should consider becoming a speaker at some level
Double down in the soccer space ….If you keep waiting and complaining than someone else will take your idea and run with it..
I love soccer, but now that I’m not actively playing the relationship has changed quite a bit. I want to stay involved without being involved if that makes sense… hence why I joined the folks @ 2cents …since then a lot has happened but now it’s time to go all in especially if I want to be involved in some capacity so expect a lot of stuff happening this upcoming year… some iniatives

Consolidating personal ventures
Word of the year is consolidate ….
First year of retirement was throwing paint on the wall and seeing what stuck
Second year of retirement I knew what colors of paint I was throwing on the wall
This year …. I’m going in with my tools to paint the picture I want on the wall
By consolidating, I will be able to give a clear picture of what exactly it is I’m pursuing
I’ve always been someone that wants to do all things …I can still do all things I just have to make it one thing… that means saying no to some things as well if it doesn’t serve me or things I’m specifically passionate about or frankly have time for
Which leads me to my next goal…
Building the Brand Of Me
As much as I’ve grown I’m still not as efficient as I want to be when it comes to building and creating… by building Amobi Okugo and focusing on becoming an Athlete CEO like I emphasize …I need to think of myself as an enterprise and do things as such
What does that look like
Everything has to make sense and everything has to be connected

Community is everything
2023 me, my brother, and his best friend started an events + hospitality business that nearly reached 6 figures in revenue. We are looking to take it to the next level for 2024
This has inspired me to explore other community type events that I’ve done or wanted to do in the past

Impact
Started our foundation back in 2019 but in all honesty our level of impact and consistency hasn’t been anywhere near where I think we can take it
2024 focused on providing consistent programming across Afterschool , financial, and soccer
At the very minimum:
Monthly financial literacy workshop
Monthly low cost soccer clinics
